How can residents shape the programmes built in their name, rather than reviewing them afterward?
THE RESPONSE
A recurring public forum, held quarterly in each participating city, where residents question and help redesign ongoing initiatives directly with the people running them.

Idea
A single Lagos session was convened after criticism that a youth programme had been designed without input from the neighbourhoods it served.
2022
Pilot
Quarterly sessions began in two cities, with an open-agenda format allowing any resident to raise a question.
2023
Expansion
The Community Table adopted a formal proposal process, allowing sessions to result in binding changes to programme design.
2025
National programme
The format was adopted in five additional cities, each run by a local convening partner.
2026
Phase III
The current phase publishes every session's proposals and their outcomes in this archive.
